Inspiration Trail (2019)

As part of my studies at the Glasgow School of Art, working on a live project with upholstery company Bute Fabrics I  created a two page map which would be printed onto semi transparent paper. The first page would include the roads, tracks, mill (marked by the logo) a selection of thumbnail photos which would show specific sites of inspiration and then a selection of QR codes which would then be scanned via Bute’s website and show the exact location of information points which directly relate to a specific fabric’s inspiration.
The second page would see the contour lines for locating ones self in the natural landscape and rings that would illustrate approximate exploration times; the period of time given to be able to explore that area on foot and then be able to return to the mill.).
